The Age of Conan MMO server mergers have Begun!! To accomplish this the US servers will be down starting around 7:00 a.m. EST on January 7th (or 12 p.m. GMT) for about six hours so that the Bloodspire and Hyperborea servers can be merged. If past server related patches are any indication, 6 hours may be too short of an estimate for such a task as this merger though.

Glen Swan from Funcom released the details on the upcoming server merges that are planned for December. While heralded by some as a great move, others see it as a sign of impedning doom for the Hyborean themed MMO.
